Sensitive determinations of a complete panel of hormones (e.g. 17β-Estradiol, Testosterone, DHEAS, 17-OH-Progesterone, FSH, LH, Prolactin, SHBG, TSH, hCG), which are necessary for the evaluation of women baseline hormonal status. The simultaneous determination of these analytes is also of ultimate importance for monitoring the hormonal status of women undergoing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation as a preparatory step for assisted reproduction (e.g. in vitro fertilization).
Simultaneous determination of most frequently encountered BRCA1 gene mutations in Greek population. The BRCA1 gene encodes the tumor suppressor protein Breast Cancer 1. Detection of disease predisposing mutations of this gene is a powerful diagnostic tool for breast/ovarian cancer predisposition in patients with family history of breast/ovarian cancer. These patients are found primarily in families characterized by multiple cases or the early onset of breast cancer.
