The International Workshop on Multianalyte Biosensing Devices is a two-day scientific meeting aiming at the presentation of the latest developments in the multidisciplinary field of multianalyte devices including biosensors, biochips and micro-total analysis systems (μTAS). The main incentive behind the Workshop is to bring together researchers and leading experts of the field in order to present their results, exchange ideas on cutting-edge technologies and engage into stimulating discussions in a friendly environment.

The first workshop in the series took place in Athens, , Greece, on April 13-14, 2000, (Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Volume 17, Number 4, April), whereas the second one moved to Tarragona, Spain, on February 18-20, 2004. The 3^rd Workshop was held again in Athens as a satellite event of the MNE 2008 Conference, on 18-19 September 2008. This year, the 4^th workshop in the series returns once more to Athens, Greece and will be held on September 7-8, 2011 as a satellite event of the EUROSENSORS 2011 conference.
