• Prize for Conference Presentation
The second prize for the "Best oral presentation" was awarded to Argyro Zoy, PhD student of IMEL, for the following talk:
"Self assembly of colloidal gold nanoparticles in-between micrometer electrode gaps by dielectrophoresis", XXI Panhellenian Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science, 28-31 August 2005, Nicosia, Cyprus.

• First Business Plan Prize
During the 6th International Venture Capital Forum held in Athens on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 June 2005 the business plan for a spin-off of IMEL/NCSR Demokritos with the name MEMs-Hellas, presented by Dr C. Contopanagos and Dr A. G. Nassiopoulou, was awarded the First Business Plan Prize.

• An honorary plaque for her contribution to Microelectronics in Greece was awarded to Dr A. G. Nassiopoulou during the "Workshop on Micro and Nanoelectronics", held at TEI Lamias in 18 May 2005.
